Abingdon Adopt-a-Family for the Winter Holidays

The Abingdon Elementary PTA has partnered with the Student Support Team at Abingdon to help support families in need during the holiday season in our school community. The additional families have been added so if you missed out last week you have another chance!

Once you sign up, you will be sent an email with your Adopt-a-Family's Wish List within 24 hours. Please email the Abingdon PTA at abingdonelementarypta@gmail.com with any questions.

Donations will need to be brought to the main office at Abingdon wrapped and labeled with family number by Thursday December 16.

Cookie Donations Needed!

Are you baking holiday cookies this weekend? Maybe you can double the batch! The Abingdon Elementary PTA will be collecting cookies to give to our wonderful custodians and staff to celebrate the Winter Holidays and let them know we appreciate all they do for our students. Please bring all donations to the Main Office at Abingdon on Wednesday December 15.

Abingdon Volunteer Program

APS requires that all parents volunteering in the building complete a Volunteer Application. In addition to verification of an applicant's identity, COVID 19 vaccination is required for the application to be approved.The process takes about a week to complete. If you plan to volunteer in the school this year please be sure to complete the Volunteer Application here.

• Monday 12/13: Candy Cane Day - wear red and white

• Tuesday 12/14: Snowy Day - wear your coziest hat and scarf

• Wednesday 12/15: Class Colors Day

• Kindergarten - wear red

• 1st - wear yellow

• 2nd - wear green

• 3rd - wear blue

• 4th - wear purple

• 5th - wear black

• Thursday 12/16: Pajama Day - wear your PJs to school

• Friday 12/17: Tacky Sweater Day - wear your tackiest sweater

• Monday December 20-Friday December 31: Winter Break - NO SCHOOL
