Abingdon Adopt-a-Family for the Winter Holidays

The Abingdon Elementary PTA has partnered with the Student Support Team at Abingdon to help support families in need during the holiday season in our school community. While we plan to help 45 families in total, we currently have the Wish Lists from 15 families. If you would like to help and aren't able to sign up for the first 15 families we will be adding additional families, hopefully this weekend, but by early next week at the latest. Once you sign up, you will be sent an email with your Adopt-a-Family's Wish List within 24 hours. Please email the Abingdon PTA at abingdonelementarypta@gmail.com with any questions.

Donations will need to be brought to the main office at Abingdon wrapped and labeled with family number by Thursday December 16.

Picture Re-Takes are Today!

LifeTouch will be at Abingdon taking re-takes today. Students who are new to Abingdon or were absent on picture day in October will be photographed. If you were unhappy with the original pictures, your student can also have their picture taken again - please let their teacher know if that is the case so we can make sure they are re-photographed. If you would like to order pictures ahead of time, please go to the LifeTouch website and enter the Abingdon Picture Day ID: EVTPKPXBQ.

Abingdon Volunteer Program

APS requires that all parents volunteering in the building complete a Volunteer Application. In addition to verification of an applicant's identity, COVID 19 vaccination is required for the application to be approved.The process takes about a week to complete. If you plan to volunteer in the school this year please be sure to complete the Volunteer Application here.

• Wednesday December 8: Early Release at 12:26pm

• Monday December 20-Friday December 31: Winter Break - NO SCHOOL
